ZWEIFEL

Howard

Howard Zweifel, 89, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015, at his home.

Howard was born June 1, 1925, in Rollersville, Ohio to Ernest and Bertha Zweifel. He was a proud and patriotic veteran who served in the Navy on the USS Raton Submarine during WWII. He loved music and in his earlier years played the guitar and enjoyed serenading his wife and children.

Howard was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for most of his life and enjoyed working outdoors, golfing, playing pool and was a member of the Sylvania Moose Lodge and the American Legion Diehn Post.

Howard is survived by his wife, Wilma (Archambo); his daughters, Kathleen Barta and Holly Noonan (Chuck); his son, Dan Zweifel; his grandchildren, Dana Royse, Alisha (Mark) Luvass, Chris Beebe, Jacqueline (Glen) Noonan, Casey (Amber) Noonan, Dan (Amy) Zweifel, Sam (Holly) Zweifel, Kylie Zweifel, Chloe Zweifel, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Marcine Bloom; sister-in-law, Violet Zweifel; brothers-in-law, Murland Archambo and Walter Wilson.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from 4-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, January 29 at the funeral home.
