Theodore Fitzpatrick Obituary
Theodore "Tob" "Ted"
Theodore "Tob" "Ted" Fitzpatrick, age 91, of Toledo, was received into the arms of the Lord November 9, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born June 19, 1924, in Kentucky, the son of Linzy Fitzpatrick and Nancy Fraizer. Ted loved his country as well as his family. He served in the U.S. Army as an amphibious engineer. He was seriously wounded in France during WWII and left for dead on a cold, snowy combat field. He received the Purple Heart for his courage and a certificate of appreciation from the city of Toledo presented by Mayor Lloyd E. Roulet. Ted retired from G&K Haulers and was a Teamster member for 35 years. His family was the light of his life, and he showed his caring and love to everyone.
Ted is survived by his wife of 73 years, Nadine; sons, Rev. Garrett (Margit) and Roger (Susan); daughter, Louise Laverick; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Linzy; daughter, Fay Hall; 5 brothers; 5 sisters and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Harvest Tabernacle Christian Life Center, 430 Florence Ave., Toledo, preceded by visitation in the church from 9-10 a.m. The VFW Northwood Honor Guard will conclude with military honors in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial tributes may be given to Harvest Tabernacle Christian Life Center or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Condolences and memories may be shared at:

We only had the opportunity to meet your grandfather once but know how much you admired him. From the obituary we did read that he must have had a very full life and was a very devoted family man.
