Arnold Eugene "Arnie" Spitznogle, 64, of Monclova Township, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 6, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous and brave six-year battle with cancer. Arnie was born June 26, 1949, in Waynesburg, a son of Lloyd and Norene (Walls) Spitznogle. He attended Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Arnie served his country as a Navy officer, working in the legal department in Pensacola, Fla. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Arnie went to work for Duquesne Light Co. at the Beaver Valley One Nuclear Power Plant in Shippingport. In 1980, he moved to Lima, Ohio, to work for Standard Oil of Ohio at the Vistron Chemical Plant. In 1992, he transferred to the BP Oil Refinery in Oregon, Ohio, where he was employed until his passing. Arnie was a member of Monclova Road Baptist Church. He was an avid woodworker and coin collector. He took great comfort in reading the Bible. One thing he will be greatly remembered for was his wealth of obscure facts in nearly any subject. Arnie was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Spitznogle; a stillborn grandson, Arnold Sptiznogle II; mother-in-law, Mildred (Fogle) Wosotowsky; father-in-law, Walter Wosotowsky; brother-in-law, Ed Wosotowsky; and sister-in-law, Donna (Eder) Wosotowsky. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon (Wosotowsky); daughter, Pam (Grant) Loftis, of Lafayette, Ohio; sons, Gary (Lynette) Spitznogle, of Worthington, Ohio, and Chris (Jodi) Gossett, of Toledo, Ohio; mother, Norene Spitznogle, of Irwin; brother, Cletus Spitznogle, of Alexandria, Va.; sisters, Barb Spitznogle, of Stephens City, Va., and Jackie Sptiznogle, of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four step-great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to visit 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the MAISON-DARDENNE-WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 501 Conant St., Maumee, Ohio. Visitation will continue 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Monclova Baptist Church, 7819 Monclova Road, Monclova, Ohio, followed with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the
