Dear family of Deaun Brockmyre,
We join you in weeping that your loved one is no longer here with you; we also rejoice with you that she is with the Lord! We know from His word, that His ways are not our ways, nor His thoughts, our thoughts. However, we also know that He never makes mistakes. May God grant you His peace, which passes all understanding, as you continue to live and serve Him without your loved one.

I remember Deaun when her family lived behind me in Wytheville, VA. She was a little younger than me but I knew her dad at WCC when I was attending college. Sounds like she was a very special person and very much loved by everyone who knew her. I am so sorry for the family's loss and hope they realize what a special angel they had while she was here. Her family and friends are in my prayers.

Dr. Brockmyre and family,

We are very sorry for your loss. I only spoke with your wife one time, and I felt so close to her. She was a lovely women of God and so very sweet and kind. Our prayers are with you during this time. I keep thinking of Corinthians 4:17. What a gift for her to see Him as He is and to be in His presence completely. Until you meet again, may God strengthen you and bring peace to you and your children.
Blessings to you all.

DR Brockmyre & Family, my heartfelt sympathies I send out to you in the loss of a wife and mother. I wish there were words to express to you the grief and empathy I share for you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers that you will find peace.

Keep yourself and family members surrounded with the light of Jesus, allowing the light to penetrate the very depths of your beings. Don't allow the darkness to remain in you or your family members and you will be transformed in the light of HIS love. Open yourselves completely to the love of Jesus and his light will shine upon you and bring you comfort to overcome the unanswered & unexplained questions in this great universe. Always remember... "YOU ARE an important part of GOD'S plan".

May God hold you close, give you a leaning shoulder when you need it, carry you when you feel you cannot go on, and the assurance that after the dark comes the morning light. Hold onto your memories and your precious children and know that even through this tragedy you are blessed by your love & having been loved so tenderly by Deaun.

If there is anything at all that I can do to help out with the family or any situations that require attention immediately, I will be glad to assist you in anyway I can. You have been a great comfort and believer in me and if I can return the blessings I would be honored to do so.

Dr. Brockmyre and Children,

Words cannot begin to express how sorry we are for your loss. We worked with Deaun at the "old" hospital and she was truly a very special person and nurse then and continued this special trait as a wife and mother. This was evident in the way she interacted with your children and talked about you and the children when we were watching the baseball games at WCLL. She was so proud of all of you. She was a perfect example of what a wife and mother should be. You have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all.

December 6, 2009

Dear Dr Brockmyre and children, and family, I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling over the loss of your wife, mother, daughter, and sister. I did not have the opportunity to meet Deaun, but it is obvious that her love parallels to the perfect love of Christ, because it is reflected in each of you. We will continue to pray for God's grace and comfort to envelop your lives and strenghten you for the journey ahead. Romans 8: 38, 39 assures us of His promise to stay with us through every moment of our lives.
In His Grace,

I just wanted to write and let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Deaun and your family have been a blessing to me. I always looked forward to delivering to your house and being greeted by all the smiling faces whether it be your children or Deaun. I could always see the love of Christ shining through her. I will always remember her as a Godly woman who loved her family very much and always had a kind word for anyone she came in contact with. I know that she is going to dearly missed by you and your children and anyone else who was fortunate enough to cross paths with her. December 4, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I never had the privledge of meeting Mrs Brockmyre but talked with her alot over the phone while working at HMG she was such a sweet beautiful lady! I always enjoyed talking to her! Andy and Family,
Words cannot express how saddened I am by the loss Of Deaun.Years ago when we fist met,I was going thru a very difficult time.I felt like God had given me a real angel when He sent Deaun to pray for me,encourage me,laugh and cry with me.Her love for the Lord and for her family just poured out from her.She brought over a bag of groceries once when I was recovering from surgery, just one of the many thoughtful, sweet things she was always doing.I loved her.My prayers are with you.May our Lord give you strength and peace.
Love,Jane Hasko

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Deaun was truly one of the kindest, sweetest, and most genuine persons I ever met. No matter how much time passed between visits, whenever you met up again, she was so happy to "catch up" and joy just radiated from her when she spoke of Andy and her children. While hearts are broken on this earth, what celebrations must be happening in heaven! I hope you can take comfort in the number of lives that Deaun touched, the blessings she provided, and how much she meant to so many. Praying for peace and comfort for the Brockmyre and Dye families, and all who mourn Deaun's loss.

Dear Andy and Family,
I have such fond memories of Deaun when you coached our daughter in soccer when she and your children were kindergarteners. We spent many hours sitting in the car during practice. She was such a loving, Godly, and gentle person. I admired her so much. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless you.
