Helen Trentadue

Helen Burke Trentadue AVONDALE ESTATES, Ga. Helen Burke Trentadue passed away at home Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at age 87, following a loving Christmas surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Elbert, W.Va., to Carl and Josephine Burke. On March 7, 1944, she married Lt. Joseph H. Trentadue, who predeceased her in 1987. A loving mother and grandmother and an avid bridge player. Helen touched many lives during her years of service to the Gwinnett Council for Seniors, HiCare and the Center for the Visually Impaired. She is remembered for her independence, curiosity, sociability and compassion. Helen is survived by her daughter, Tracy J. Trentadue; son-in-law, James P. Monacell; and grandchildren, Lauren Timmons, Helen Gallen and James Trentadue Monacell. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluefield, Va., at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2 p.m. at the Chapel.
