Lois Cordilia Worley Simcox BRISTOL, Va. Lois Cordilia Worley Simcox, age 89, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011, at her residence. She was born March 23, 1922, in Buchanan County, Va. a daughter of the late Nathan and Norah McCracken Worley, and she lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She worked at Rayless Department Store and the Lee Highway Family Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loey Edward Simcox; sisters, Irene Worley, Blanche Street, Alma Dunlap, Lucille Frye, Evelyn Bowman; brothers, Herman Worley, Earl Worley, and Raleigh Worley. She is survived by: two sons, James Bernard Simcox and Jerry Wayne Simcox; granddaugther, Jennifer Gail Simcox; grandson, Michael Wayne Simcox; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Helen B. Kress. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Dan Birchfield officiating. The burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Roger White, Larry Bowman, Daryll Simcox, Tillson Bailey, Frank Lambert and Rodney Dougherty.
