Mary Lillian Childress "Chillie" Clark CHILHOWIE, Va. Mary Lillian Childress "Chillie" Clark, 78, passed into life eternal on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She and her husband, Doug, owned and operated Clark's Pharmacy for over 33 years and were co-founders of Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was a member of the Glade Spring Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hope Clark; daughter, Mary Douglas Clark Osborne; infant daughter; and one brother, Robert Childress. Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Clark Hill and husband, Tom, and Cindy Clark Halsey and husband, Mark, all of Chilhowie; two grandsons, Travis Hill and wife, Jessica, and Matthew Hill and wife, Kelly; one granddaughter, Mary Jane Halsey, all of Chilhowie; three great-grandchildren, Noah and Rylee Hill and Tuck Rouse; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Green Springs Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, Va., with the Rev. Timothy E. Bird and the Rev. Thomas B. Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Clark, Sammy Clark, Joe Clark, Chris Clark, Tommy Baird, Bill Baird, Steve Atkins, and Gale Atkins. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Glade Spring Presbyterian Church, PO Box 336, Glade Spring VA., 24340. Arrangements by Williams Funeral Home, Chilhowie.

Cindi and Pam, I was sorry to hear that Chili passed away please know your entire family are in my thoughts. I can't help but remember the kindness show to me by both Doug and Chili as I mourned the loss of Mary D. May God comfort you as only He can during this time.

Hadn't seen Chili in a long time. But rem. her from our squaredancing days together. She and my sister, Helen Clark were good friends. She was a very sweet lady who loved life and will be truely missed by all who knew and loved her. I am so sorry for your loss. Myrna & Bud Cullop
