John Curran was a great teacher, businessman and a dear friend. He helped me start a business and edit one of my novels. You won't find any typos in that book! I wish he was around right now, because I could use his advice and experience in my new business venture. But mostly, I miss our friendship. See you in Heaven, John----where you will probably kick me in the butt!!!!!!!!!!

I wish to God that my dear friend and company board member was alive so that he could help me achieve the success he and I worked so hard to make. Not a day goes by that I don't think of John Curran. Our mutual friend, Sue Wagner is now with John and maybe this is the reason I am doing so well....We'll met again, Sailor!

I was just made aware of John's passing today. I apologize for my late condolences. I worked with John from 1987 until around 1992 when we were employed by the Center for Innovative Technology. My office was then located at Wytheville Community College. John was always an inspiration. I will never forget John's words of wisdom to me;being young and early in my career, I did not feel I had the means to invest at the time. John tried to get me to start investing in a 401 at the time. He said I could not afford not to. I wish I had listened to his wisdom. I have since given both my children John's advice and as a matter of fact, just mentioned his words of wisdom and name to a friend not long ago. John was one to make an impression. My sympathies to the family.

My condolences to all who knew and loved John.I worked with John at the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology for four years and met him a few times afterwards. I believe John lived a vigorous and full life. Still I will miss knowing he is with us.

John was a special friend and mentor for 40 plus years. His knowledge of rock mechanics was widly treasured. I enjoyed many trips diving, boating, skiing, and flying over the years. It was always nice to visit with him or share emails of current interest.
John will be missed.

Richard de Montebello, President of The Happy Kids Toy Company Inc, would like to express our company's sympathy to the family of John Curran. John was one of my most valuable business advisors. He was also a board member and senior book editor. To me, he was a giant. He was gruff, tough and confident. I will miss our Saturday morning chats.
God bless you, John.
With warm regards,
Richard de Montebello
