KATHLEEN CARPENTER-DYER Obituary

Einan's Funeral Home

Kathleen Elaine Dyer of Benton City, WA, passed away on April 5, 2011, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. She was born in Spenser, NE, in 1934 and moved to Marysville, Kansas, as an infant where she lived and graduated high school in 1952. She married Sgt. Donald Dyer of the USAF in 1956 and had two children, Jane Marie and David Andrew.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dyer; Mother, Alma Carpenter; Father, Harry Carpenter; sister Arlene Brandt; brother, Ted Carpenter, sister-in-law, Karen Carpenter; and great-nephew Joel Diaz.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter Jane and son David; brothers Galen Carpenter of Oregon, Harry Wayne Carpenter of MO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Julie, Peter, Eric, Evan and Anne Diaz; Adam, Christine and Levin Diaz of Kennewick; and Jane and Andy Cassinelli, also of Kennewick.

Kathleen enjoyed traveling, fishing, beach combing, reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, pinochle and playing Scrabble with her mother and niece Julie.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Upon Request by Kathleen, No Memorial Service will be held. Her favorite charities were the Make-aWish Foundation and Second Harvest of the Tri-Cities.
