Arthur Roberts Obituary

Arthur J. Roberts COHOES – Arthur J. Roberts, 92, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Westmere Home for Adults in Guilderland. He was husband of the late Leone “Lee” Morris Roberts who died in 2006. A native and lifelong resident of Cohoes, son of the late Moise and Lillian Roberts, Art served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had been employed as a purchasing agent for many years, first by the former Montgomery Wards in Menands and then by NYS OGS, retiring in 1987. Art served for many years on the Cohoes Zoning Board of Appeals and had been a communicant of the former St. Joseph's Church in Green Island. He is the father of Chet (Annette) Roberts of Cohoes and Don (Lydia) Roberts of Halfmoon; grandfather of Christopher and Eric Roberts and the late Stacey Roberts; great grandfather of Arielle Roberts; former father in law of Dulce Roberts of Halfmoon; brother of the late Aline Walsh, Rose Woods and Moise, George and Armand Roberts; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Tallman officiating. Interment will be beside his wife, Lee, in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waterford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Art.
