Dear Mimi, Anne, Marty, and family,
I was very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. Even though everyone will say that he had lead a great and wholesome life it is still difficult to say goodbye. I know that the friendship that he shared with our Dad over 90+ of his 98 years was as special to him as it was to Dad. Needless to say we loved your Dad and will miss seeing him when we are in Pittsburgh.
God bless you all. Know that our prayers are with you.
With deepest Sympathy.

Dear Mary Lee, Anne, Marjorie and all of the members of the Rupert H. Friday, M.D. family:
My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to all of you at this time. I had the great honor to play many a round of golf with Dr. Friday, who insisted I called him "Rupe", during my youth at the Pittsburgh Field Club. He was a great man and a great gentleman, not to mention a great striker of the ball. He always had nothing but words of encouragement for everyone and I feel very lucky to have him caught on a video that my brother Ed made for me for my 40th birthday. The world was a better place for having him in it and his presence will be sorely missed. I will never forget him.
With Deepest Sympathies,
Charles F. Wallander, III (The Gator)

Dear Marylee, Anne and Marjorie:
My prayers to the family.
Your dad delivered me. I was a difficult delivery (breech birth). He cancelled a vacation to make sure I came into the world safely.

Dear Anne, Pete, and family,
I met Rupert at the Tucson Country Club. He would occasionally play golf with the "over the hill group". He was my hero. Here is a man well into his nineties playing golf, enjoying the bantering, and having fun. He would grouse about his game like the rest of us, but he could hold his own in the competition. What a kind, gentle man. I am glad to have known him, and I will miss him.
