I knew your son Christopher and he used to tell me all about you and what you did in World War two. ( I love history so Christopher told me about you and those historic WW Two planes) Impressed! Christopher looked up to you and spoke with pride about his father. Sad to hear the family lost two fine people.

Dad, as your oldest son, I feel a keen sense of loss at your passing. The times we used to spend working on those old cars and you identifying all those different airplanes in the sky are still special for me. You were always there for all of us. May the Good Lord bless you and keep you in the palm of His hand. As a retired O-4, I look forward to the time when we can salute the colors together.

To the Hayes Family...John will truly be missed by so many people. I will miss delivering banana nut bread to him and watching him smile from ear to ear and then proceed to hide it in the refrigerator. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We are especially proud of John's days, months, weeks and years of service to his country in the Army as an engineer and pilot. He was an expremely patriotic person. We enjoyed the long chats about political matters which we had.
We wish we could be there in person. Please give Sally a big hug from us all. God bless,
Ruthanne Hayes -Haight (first cousin)
