Thank you to everyone for all of your kind thoughts and messages through out this last year. Nathan and I have sponsored this guestbook so that it will remain online for the years to come. I hope that people will continue to post messages when they think of dad.

It is amazing to see the impact my dad had on so many different people during his life, whether it had been through friendship, his work, or his family. It brings me peace knowing that my father's legacy will live on in all of those that knew him. He is and will forever be deeply missed.

Good times with family and friends

Now that it's been almost a year since we lost Tim, this book will be closing down. So I decide to write one last time. It's been a hard year for me. So I can imagine how it's been for all of you. Deb, Dan, Tammy, Mary, Nancy, Nate and Chris. I think about all of you, and wonder how you are doing. I hope everyone is well.

Dad,
Today you would've been 54 years old. I hope that wherever you are, you are at peace. Always know that Chris and I both love you very much, and we are so honored to have had you as a father. We miss you every second of every day, and probably will for the rest of our lives. We both wish that you were still around to share in our experiences. Know that we are who we are directly because of you, and I can't even begin to thank you for that. Also know that we will see each other again someday. Happy Birthday Dad, and I'll be seeing you in my dreams.
Love,

Dad,
Chris and I went golfing today and I was remembering the last time we played. I had like a 45ft put for birdie on number 7 at Goodrich. I think you would have gotten a kick out of it. Everything is going ok. Chris is doing really well with his job. You'd be really proud of him. I'm doing good in school and I should be done by the end of this year. I really miss you and I hope that we're making you proud. I love you dad.
Always your son,
Nathan Timothy

Hi Deebs,

I was just thinking about you as I have so many times since you passed. What a great guy. You were always there when I needed you. I remember so many times when you were so busy, but then you would find a way to put me at the head of the line. I really miss you.

Chris and Nate - You guys stay strong. I know you are. Your dad really, really cared for you both so much. He was so proud of you guys.

January 18, 2010

Dad,
More than four months have passed since I last saw you, even though it seems like only days. Every time my phone rings I wish it was you calling to check up on me. Or every time I see a white Ford van I picture you coming home form work. It's been really hard without you. I still can't believe you're gone. I'm doing my best to make you proud, and hopefully you are. Other than the wish that you were still here with Chris and me, I wish that I could at least have one more hug. But know that I will never forget all that you have done for me, and all that you have shown me. I love you dad, very much, and I hope that I will see you again someday.
Love,
Nathan Timothy

Tim
A new year, 2010, it just doesn't seem the same going into a new year without you. We miss you very much and think about you every day. Devin especially misses you. He's still waiting for you to come home. He asks questions about you and why you're not here. I tried to explain to him that you're in Heaven. He's constantly reminding me of the little things you use to do. He'll rest his pencil on the top of his ear because he said that's what Tim did when he worked on the crossword puzzle. It's amazing how much a 3 year old can remember. Even though it's heartbreaking going into a new year without you, I am comforted knowing you are at peace and I am grateful for that. You will forever be missed by you family and friends. You were a good person with a huge heart..
Rest in peace my love.

Chris and Nate, Family and Friends,
I remember the first X-mas without my father. It seemed so wierd that he was not there. He was there tho and Tim is with you 2 always and will be always. This Christmas will be like no other but try as hard as you can not to be sad.
There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of you guys and your father but I know he is at rest and at peace and hopefully you guys will find peace too.

December 10, 2009

Chris and Nate,
Tomorrow marks the 3rd month of being without your dad. I must tell you both how proud I am of you, and how you have grown in the acceptance that your dad is at peace and in a better place. I am reminded when I look at you both, or see a familiar jesture, how much each of you are like your father in many ways. You can be so proud of that fact as he was such a good person, kind and loved by so many.
I know you both miss him terribly, and the holidays don't make it any easier, but with the new year fast aproaching, we will continue to laugh at the good times, cry at the bad, and always hold your dad near and dear to our hearts.
I am so proud of how you have both come to understand the true meaning of of what it means to be "brothers".
I love you both very much.

Dad,
I just want to say that life without you is something that I never thought would have come so soon. I can't even begin to express the love that Chris and I have for you. You were the best father/ friend that either of us could have asked for. We are living proof of how amazing a man you truly were. Each day you will live on through our hopes, dreams, and accomplishments. I know that you will always be with us, and that you were so proud of the men we have become. There are so many things that I want and wish I could say, but none other than the fact that I love you so very much, and I will miss you everyday for the rest of my life. I know you are in a better place, and you are finally at peace.
Love your son,
Nathan Timothy Diebel

September 22, 2009

I've just read all the recent entries. How proud all the Diebel's can be of Tim - wow. I've known Tim since grade school - Pres days, church, nuns and uniforms. Good Ol days at Wakefield, Jr. High and High School. I grew up on Dieter Street and he lived on Hazelwood with Nancy and the boys behind my parents. Thanks Nate and Chris for cutting their grass as all us kids had our own homes. Tim was always so nice and Im glad I got to see him many times at the bank and had some heart to heart talks. I enjoyed myself at his and Dee's get togethers either on Hazelwood St. or his more recent home on Laurie Rd, with friends and classmates. I will miss him immensely as you all will too. One thing someone told me when I lost my parents, is that when I have a dream of them -it means they visited you. I always would wake up with a big smile. If he hasn't already visited you - he will!! Love to all - Patty (Casci) Myckleby

There are no words to express how sad I feel for you two. Always remember, your father was a good man. He would have been extremely proud of the strength you two showed this past week. You're living proof that your dad was a great father. Tim touched so many lives, but none as deeply as mine and his memory will live on in my heart forever. Your father was my best friend and I loved him dearly. There are going to be some rough days ahead, but time will be a source of healing. When you have those days that seem almost impossible to get through, pray for your father's help. Be silent and you will feel his presence. Someday, we will all be at peace with Tim's passing.

I met Tim in 1967, at Flecik field. He was on the mound, warming up. He had an impressive wind up and a smokin' fastball, and for some reason I've always remembered that night. I was impressed by the courage and fortitude of his sons at the service. Our children are a tangeable link to immortality.

My dear sons, Christopher John, and Nathan Timothy. I am so very proud of you both. There are no words to tell you the profound sadness I feel for you that your dad won't be here to share with you both, all the wonderful things yet to come, the accomplishments yet to be, the golf games yet to be played. But know this, you were always his whole life, deep down, his everything. He was so very proud of you both.
He will remain in your hearts forever,
as constant as the morning sun. You will continue to hear his laughter, and the memories of his warm loving hugs, will forever be with you.
Thank you for being my sons, my world, my everything.

Nate and Chris,
I heard the news earlier today and immediately thought of all the memories I have of you and your dad. Im extremely sorry for the loss. I very recently would see your dad all over town and he always made sure to say hi to me. I remember how he would drive us to, and pick us up from the Maplewood Community Center and all the funny, clever things he would have to say. More importantly, I would ask how Nate was doing and he had nothing but great things to say about you and your brother. Nate, if you need anything at all, please know that you can give me a call anytime or get ahold of me for anything at all. I cant begin to imagine what you've been going through the past couple of days. Ive always been, and always will be here for you buddy...

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I would first like to extend my deepest sympathy to the whole Diebel family. Tim and I go way back. I don't even know where to begin. I remember the fun we had snowmobiling on the old Arctic Cats as kids. The countless hours on South Center Lake ice fishing and not catching a thing. But we still kept trying! Taking summer vacations together with our parents at Lake Alex in Cushing, MN. Riding the mini bikes all over the roads up there. It will be very hard sitting down playing a game of cribbage without thinking of you because of the countless hours and games we played out at the Liquor Store for years. I still think I was the better player even though you took numerous dollars from me. :-) As we got older we changed from mini bikes to motorcycles and cruised the back roads all over the counties. Played lots of pinball at the Time Out Lounge in No. St. Paul. There's so much history that Tim and I have that I will remember forever. I will miss him very much. Palf
