I have only known Elaine for my 5 visits to Sholom home. Every visit I would come running into her room first to chat with her for about an hour, she was like my grandmother in Sholom home. I would sit with her in those visits in what they called Social hour, and she would introduce me to everyone with a huge smile on her face. On my way down from visitng the other residents, I would always stop through Elaine's room again, to say goodbye. With a huge hug and a kiss she waved me off, and with a smile she would say, Thanx so much for coming Brocha, I'll see you next week.
This was the Elaine I knew.
I felt so attached to Elaine, that I have decided to start something in her memory, with G-d's help, it will all work out successfully.
My heart is with her family at this time. May there only be joyous occasions from now on!

I have known Elaine since 1993 when I started working for Sholom Home Nursing home. I have made an attempt to visit her as much as possible. It has been harder since I had my two girls. I loved her like my second grandmother. She was a wonderful lady and my thoughts are with her, and her family at this time.
