WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Robert Steven Mihalko, 74, died March 15, 2011, in Winston-Salem.
He was born and raised in Donora, Pa.
He played college football at Villanova and two seasons of pro football with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was known as "Chief Crazy Bear." After leaving football, he founded his own management consultant firm, which he ran for more than 30 years.
In 1965, he married Martha "Martie" Peterson and relocated to New Hampshire, where he was the head coach of the Pelham-Windham Razorbacks for nine years.
He authored the mystery novel, Roadkill, and was a 32nd degree Mason. He had a penchant for bad jokes and a love for Mustang convertibles, fly-fishing and coffee.
Family includes sons Robbie, Reid, Ryan and Ross, and five grandchildren.
