Daniel Chase Obituary
Dan loved Pembroke and spent almost his entire life in the region. He was the son of Elizabeth and Clarence Chase, who predeceased him. During his youth, he was active with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, graduated from Pembroke Academy and attended Southern New Hampshire College.
For 30 years, he worked for Sears Roebuck, holding a number of different roles with the company.
Upon his retirement, he dedicated time to his family, his home and yard. He enjoyed his John Deere equipment and was happiest when he was outside. He enjoyed driving the back roads in his truck. He enjoyed Patriots football and gathering and stacking firewood for burning on game day.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy; his son, Daniel James of Pembroke; his sister, Jeanne Chase Lodge and husband Don of Clarksville; his constant companion, Finster, his cat. He leaves behind many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends..
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Pope Memorial SPCA at 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord NH 03301.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.

Wendy and DJ, I had the pleasure of working with and being Dan's manager at Sears for a few years, Like Tim said ( #489) he was a great mentor to his peers. His tone of voice still resonates in my ears. He told wonderful stories of parenthood while I started my journey towards that. He will truly be missed and I hope peace and comfort will fill you from all the good times.

My condolences to the family. I attended Pembroke Elem. & P.A. with Dan prior to my moving at the end of our sophomore year. I considered a friend and a very nice guy. We played J.H. Basketball together and had many classes together in high school. I am very sorry for your loss.
