Anthony Politowski Obituary

Anthony J. (Tony) Politowski, age 98 of Ventura, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 in Ventura after a brief illness.

He was born July 9, 1912 in Philadelphia, Pa. He resided in Ventura County for 25 years. Anthony worked as a Postal Service Clerk for 31 years. He was a collector of U.S. commemorative stamps, former president of the Holy Name Society of St. Ladislaus Church (Philadelphia), and former treasurer of the Railway Postal Workers Credit Union.

Survived by brother, Stanley (Ann); sons, John (Inez) and James (Marie); grandchildren, Anthony, Marie, David, Chris (Holley) and Eric Politowski; great-grandson, Jonathan Hopper; and many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by Catherine Politowski, his wife of 63 years.

Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 at Mary Star of the Sea Chruch, Oxnard, with Msgr. Thomas Skindeleski. Burial at Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard.
