It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved Melissa (Lopez) Rowley on Sept. 6, 2010 in Manassas, Va. She passed away in her sleep after a sudden illness.
Melissa (Missy) was born in Taft, Calif., Oct. 19, 1977, she attended school at Barbara Webster and Mupu elementary schools in Santa Paula and later moved to Boise, Idaho, where she graduated from high school. She met and married her husband Bruce in Boise where they lived until his work was transferred to Manassas, Va. In Manassas she continued her education and was working as a Doctor's Assistance when she passed away. She was very active with her children's school and sport activities.
A special memorial was held for Missy in Manassas, Va., on Saturday, Sept. 11 by all her friends and immediate family. A Rosary and funeral service was conducted on Sept. 17, 2010, at Sacred Heart church in Boise, Idaho, where she was laid to rest.
Missy is survived by her husband, Bruce Rowley; her children, Zoie and Jonathon; her father, Chris Lopez; mother, Sue Walters; brother, Benjamin; her maternal grandmother, Ann Walters; her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends in Manassas, Va., Boise, Idaho, and Southern California. Missy was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Anita Lopez, and her aunt, Janice. Missy will be greatly missed by friends and family in Manassas, Va., Boise, Idaho, Ventura and Santa Paula, Calif.
The family of Chris Lopez would like to thank all his family and friends for their sincere sympathy, prayers and financial assistance which greatly helped during this time of great loss.
