To all friends and family of my dad, thank you all for all the kind and loving words you've said. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful dad whose touched everyones hearts that he's met and spent time with. My son, husband and I are so thankful to have spent Thanksgiving dinner with him at our house and while he held my hand while sitting on our couch, he was very weak but leaned on my shoulder and said, "I'm just so glad Molly to be here with you and Mathew tonight, I love you so much" It broke my heart to see him so weak, but he made always made me smile when he would tell me how much loved us. I believe my dad knew that day was the last day and knowing that he had his last meal with his family meant the world to him. Now he can rest and be full of energy and especially pain free up in heaven with my grandparents and my Aunty Piki. Thank you all for all your support and prayers. We love you always. Especially most thanks to my Uncle Tui who did the impossible for my dad and loved him unconditionally for so long. I love you Tui for everything you do and always will. You too JAY JAY!!!

Dear Family of Tau,
Tau was very special to our family and we will never forget him. Tau was a generous and gentle soul and touched the lives of all who knew him. Tau was a chef at Neptune's Net Restaurant in Malibu and I think that is how we all met. It was during the heydey of the Net and Tau fit right in as he loved life and people and at that time the Net was a fun place. But Tau was much more than a chef--he was the guy who made us happy at our Christmas parties as he brought his fabulous Polynesian dance troupe and show for all to see, hear and even participate in.
Tau sang at my brother Paul's funeral in 1987 and at my Mother's funeral in 2006. His beautiful voice brought consolation in our grief.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to all Tau's family. We will always remember him with joy. Linda Bell, Kaya, and Kloie

Tau was a man that I respected and admired. He was a man with a big heart and a soft spoken voice that would put peoples minds at ease. He was a Good Man, Strong Father, Loving Grandfather, Concerned Uncle, and Good Friend. He truly was the Patriarch of the Taitai Family. In life he treated people with respect and kindness, most of all he had unconditional love for his daughter Molly who he was very proud of. We have all lost a man that was so dear in are hearts. We will miss you Tau.

Tau will be missed by my family especially my brother Norman (Boodah). He enbraced and loved our Chamorrro culture as we embraced and loved his Samoan culture. He was always a guest in our home whenever we had a family gathering. I remember him most for his music jamming with my brother in the garage. My family always went to watch them play at different venues. Needless to say he was family in our home when we lived here. We will miss you so much Tau.

I'll always remember the one time we met at a luau for friends we had in common. When I heard your last name, I knew we must have had a lot more friends in common and after we spoke I realized we did, loved the music as I am sure others are now, a day I won't forget.............

Tau was a true gentleman and a great entertainer. We watched one of his shows at a Ventura Cruise Night and decided to have him entertain our friends at a Luau at our home. It was so good we had him and his group back several times. We will miss Tau as will all that knew him. Sam and Carole Flowers (Ojai)

My memories of Tau are from football practice, nose to nose with an immovable mountain of a young man. I was a 175 lb center trying to keep him from crushing me. I did a poor job!! His size was minimized by his big heart and kind nature. When I think of Tau, his smile and gentleness are what comes thru. My prayers are with the entire family... God Bless you Tau, Rest in Peace

To Tau's Family, I was honored and blessed to have Tau in my life for a short time.I was a member of his "senior" hula class in Camarillo.Tau was one of the kindest, patient men I have been priveledged to know.He shared his love of music and taught us older ladies to dance with a lot of love and laughter. He made me grow and gently pushed all of us to improve. I found true friend in a most unexpected place and my heart is sad that our leader is gone. Tau was a treasure and I hope he is pain free and playing his music in a beautiful place. Cathy Vogel

To My Uncle Tau...
Broken Chain
We little knew that evening that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.**I love you with all my heart**
To my cousin Molly~ I pray that God stays by your side during this time. You are in my prayers and if you need anything just give me a call. I love you cuz!
To my Dad, Uncle Ben, Aunty Sina, Auntie Ruta and Aunty Noa....I love all of you very much. Even though I am so far away from all my family there in Oxnard I think of each and every one of you all the time.
Love always~ Tianna Taitai-Davis

Uncle Tau, It really hurts to know that you are no longer with us. I am so happy that I was able to see you at my daughters birthday. The beautiful loving smile on your face is what I last remember you. I will hold that memory in my heart forever. I really miss you and love you...I miss you so bad that it hurts.
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.

Uncle Tau,
Dancing hula to your exquisite voice was always an experience filled with aloha for me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for always making me feel beautiful on stage and for bringing out the best in me while I shared my hula with the people in our audience. You were, by far, one of the kindest and gentlest people that I knew. My memories of you will be followed by true smiles and a feeling of happiness in my heart. Mahalo for choosing to live your life with the aloha spirit and for sharing it with so many people- your spirit will be deeply missed within our Polynesian community- your "niece"- Kalena Kaopuuokalani
