Dr. Pat Alagia was my doctor for many years in the Northern VA area. My husband and I send our deepest sympathies to Dr. Alagia and his family. Although we never knew his father, Dr. Alagia, my former doctor, was a wonderful man who reflected very well the leadership and example his father set for him.

Claire and the Alagia Family: Paul was one of the "legal lions" that I've run across in my 49 years at the Bar -- a brilliant strategist who understood human nature and how the law applied to it. He enjoyed a marvelous career and was always very gracious to me both personally and professionally. I, as will you, miss his presence with us -- but the memory of his talent and person will be with us for the rest of our lives.

Dear Mrs. Alagia, Margie, Claire and Family,
I am so saddened to hear about Mr. Alagia's passing. I had not seen him since I was a teen until a couple of years ago when I was lucky enough to run into him at church with Mrs. Alagia. And as I remembered, he was as kind and gracious to me as he was when I was a child. I'm so very sorry for all of you. I know he will be deeply and irreplaceably missed.

Dear Alagia family, We will all miss your Dad! He was a wonderful man, who lived a full life and touched so many people. We are all better for knowing him. When I was a child, I remember my younger brother and I were in the parked car in his driveway when I released the brake and we rolled down the driveway and broke through his garage door. And then my brother got out of the car and climbed up the tree and wouldn't come down. Damian was in the yard trying to coax him out of the tree. Funny memories for me, but I wonder what was said by the adults back then. I know Damian and Joyce are one of my parents best friends! Love from Jim and Mary Jane Ingram

Mr. Alagia gave me a job at the Barnett & Alagia in Louisville in high school. I worked for him in the DC office while at Georgetown. He was a wonderful mentor to me and encouraged me to go to law school, which I did. He will be greatly missed.
