BUFO GIUSEPPE A. BUFO On Monday, March 30, 2009, at his residence, Giuseppe A. Bufo, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Rosa Bufo; father of Dominic P. Bufo and Anna Maria (Joseph) Barone; grandfather of Alessandra and Christopher Barone. His family and friends will miss him very much. Relatives and friends may call at COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, 500 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD, Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church, 10103 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD on Friday, April 3, at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph''s House, 1505 Cody Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20902

Being a member of the Carlino "extended" family, I always considered Joe & Rosa to be my God Parents. So many weekends Alex & I would go to Lewes and enjoy Rosa's cooking while Joe was on the back porch listening to his favorite Italian Grand Opera. We loved them very much, and I would never have heard of Escarole if it was not for Rosa and Joe's wonderful Sunday dinners. I remember Fr. Petrini laying on the downstairs floor reading the Sunday paper. My prayers are with Dominic and Anna, whom I always loved, and with Rosa.Besides meatballs and sauce she taught tolerance, and love, and I hope her students learned their lessons well. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the death of your husband, father, and grandfather. Joe was a man so full of life. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. May God grant you peace, and wonderful memories bring you comfort.
