DOROTHY S. GOODMAN  
Dorothy S. Goodman of Alexandria, VA, wife of the late Charles M. Goodman, died peacefully Monday morning, February 25, 2013 at INOVA Alexandria Hospital. Born in Johnstown, PA, she was predeceased by her beloved parents, Mary and Martin A. Sopchick, sister Madeline C. Fanning, and brothers, Frank, Carl and Martin Sopchick, Jr. Sharing a love of form and design with her husband, she was a lifelong patron of the arts. Mrs. Goodman enjoyed dance, photography and working with oil on canvas. She studied and collected sculpture of all mediums, including metal work, glass, wood and pottery. Her love of artistic expression was matched by her devotion to wildlife. She was a dedicated advocate of animal rights and conservation. Above all, Mrs. Goodman leaves behind a legacy of passionate giving. In honor of her memory, donations can be made to Doctors Without Borders. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 310 S. Royal St., Alexandria, VA. Interment Ivy Hill Cemetery.
