Along with our dear Coach, Tom Wriston, I speak on behalf of the 1968 George Washington High School basketball team. "Lo" was a tremendous cog on our wheel, a dear friend and trusted team mate you could always count on. He will surely be missed by us all and our sincere condolences to the entire family and his friends. Miss You "Lo"

Lorenzo was a classmate at GW as well as a team mate on the 1968 basketball team. He was a kind, generous, and fun person. My prayers go out to his family and I pray that the "peace of God that passes understanding will settle over their hearts and minds".

April & Brion, Rochelle, and Chawan,
As I shared at your father's service, I feel honored to have your father as a dear friend and colleague. Since I lived in Alexandria, after work I would often drive him to your grandparent's home. We had such wonderful conversations from his love for his parents and each of you to how to make the world a better place. Your father was a great man, the very essence of goodness, kindness, generosity and decency. The world was a much better place for because of Lorenzo Barnes and I am a better person for having known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Elaine

April & Brion, Rochelle, and Chawan,
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing and your losing him from your lives.
I worked with Lo at Xerox from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s and he was a great guy. We were sales managers together so we got to know one another fairly well. Lo was smart, loyal, generous, and always quick to laugh. He was a people person who others wanted to be around and spend time with. I am grateful for having known him, learned from him, and being friends with him.
I hope there is some comfort knowing that his friendship, influence, and memories extend across a wide circle of people.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
My warm regards,
Tom Berray
