Judith Ann DOBEY

MAYWOOD, Mo. -- Judith Ann Dobey, 66, of Maywood, died Wednesday (Sept. 15, 2010) at her residence near Maywood.

She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter of Delmar Steve Hulsizer and John and Beverly Morgan Brocksmith. She married Luther L. Dobey in Hannibal April 17, 1997. He died June 14, 2005.

Mrs. Dobey worked at Sheller-Globe for many years and worked in home health care and also at the Hampton Inn in Quincy.  She loved crocheting and sewing.

Surviving are nine children, Philip Meany and his wife, Alisa, of Maywood, Kevin Meany and his wife, Sandy, of Maywood, Laura Clow and her husband, Mike, of Maywood, Toni Foglesong and her husband, Gary, of Taylor, Kenny Hanie of Maywood, Barbara Johnston and fiancée, Joe Leffler, of Clayton, Ill., C.W. Colt Hanie and wife, Sonya, of Kirksville, Echo Welte and husband, Danny, of Kirksville, Libertie Brantner and husband, Mike, of Kirksville; 35 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Mike Hulsizer of Texas, Steve Hulsizer of Iowa, Bradley Hulsizer of Iowa, Jeffery Brocksmith of Iowa, Jean Freeman of Monroe City, and Jim Brocksmith of state of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a sister, Carol Lee Smith.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, with the Rev. Russell Brownell officiating.  Burial will be in Bennville Cemetery in Benbrook, Ill.

VISITATION: Saturday from noon until time of the service in the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing.
