Chad Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR, Mo. -- Chad Thomas Taylor, 37, of Taylor, Mo., died at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 19, 2011), in his home.

Chad was born March 19, 1973, in Quincy, Ill., to Warren and Dixie Iams Taylor.

He was a 1991 graduate of Palmyra High School and still holds the state record in the shotput. He was also a graduate of Vatterott College in Quincy.

Chad had worked for Otto Vending and Century Sign Company. He enjoyed playing golf. His pride and joy was his son, Karson.

He is survived by his mother, Dixie Dietrich and her husband, Mike, of Taylor; his father Warren Lee Taylor of Quincy; son Karson Lee Taylor of Taylor; step-brother Joshua Dietrich of Quincy; step-sister Nicole Echternkamp of Quincy; special aunt Judy Kroencke of Palmyra; aunt and uncle Diane and Dick Taylor, and sons, Ryan and Ricky, all of Quincy; goddaughter Katie Taylor, uncle Jerry Iams, and children, Jera and Shawn Iams, all of Quincy; cousins, Nicole Fields and children, Haley and Jon Robert Snodgrass of Palmyra, Bobbette Enrietta of Springfield, Ill.; and special friend Julia Brereton of Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Elmo Iams, uncle Bob Kroencke, and cousin Kira Kenady.

SERVICES: 1 p.m. Monday in the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel, Palmyra, with the Rev. Chris Combs conducting. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Palmyra. Casket bearers are Josh Dietrich, Josh Kenady, Ryan Taylor, Dakota Kroencke, Dalton Kroencke, Dennis Kroencke, and Sydney Kroencke.

VISITATION: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel.

MEMORIALS: The Chad Taylor Memorial Fund in care of Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel.

ARRANGEMENTS: Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel, Palmyra.
