Dennis G. Husemann

COATSBURG, Ill. -- Dennis G. Husemann, 65, of Coatsburg, died at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday (June 18, 2013) in his home in Coatsburg.

Born June 15, 1948, in Quincy, Dennis was a son of Marlyn Dale and Charlotte Geraldene "Geri" Bowman Husemann. He married Barbara Brierton on May 13, 1967. She died on March 14, 2009. He later married Bonnie Brierton on March 21, 2010, in Texas. She survives.

Dennis was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Coatsburg where he was serving as a trustee, Coatsburg Lions Club, and was treasurer for the village of Coatsburg.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his mother, Geri Husemann of Quincy; three sons, Douglas Ray Husemann of McKinney, Texas, Kevin Scott Husemann (Valerie) of Smoguolmee, Wash., and Brian Kent Husemann (Jennifer) of Cadiz, KY.; a daughter-in-law, Victoria Husemann; five grandchildren, Allison, Sam, Bryce, Mike and Morgan Husemann; a sister, Bonnie Johnson (Bill) of Coatsburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale; his first wife, Barbara; a son, Shawn Lee Husemann; a grandson, Maxwell Husemann; a nephew, William R. Johnson Jr.; and his in-laws.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday memorial services will be held in St. Peter Lutheran Church in Coatsburg, with the Rev. Gary Sproat. Burial will follow in Graymount Cemetery at Coatsburg. Following the burial, a celebration of life will be held at the St. Peter Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Coatsburg.

VISITATION: There is no formal visitation.
