James Toy Obituary

James R. Toy Jr., 49, of Bridgewater, passed away on Dec. 10, 2015 at home with his family after a long battle with ALS. He was born in Boston, on June 15, 1966 to the late James Sr. and Linda (Tintoni) Toy and brother of Lisa Galligan of Taunton and the late Brian Toy of Fall River. James had attended Brockton High School and went on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science, Summa Cum Laude from Wentworth Institute of Technology of Boston. He was married to Teresa Fiorino on June 8, 1991. James had worked as a Field Engineer at Comcast for close to 30 years, and in his spare time enjoyed working on cars, scuba diving, projects and spending time with his family. James is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Toy of Bridgewater; his sister Lisa Galligan of Taunton; his sons, Matthew and Nicholas of Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
