James Francis Dailey "Jimmy D", 77, of Plymouth passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday April 14th. Survived by his wife Marilee of 45 years and his children - Kathleen Dailey-Lawhorne and the late Richard V. Lawhorne; Michelle Connolly and her husband John with children Jordan, Aidan and Rowan; James Dailey and his wife Jennifer with children Ethan and Ava; John Dailey; Lamont Matthews-Dailey; Joseph Leonard. His sister Katherine Fairbanks and brother Steven passed some years back. James was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked at WPLM Radio and was a Mentor foster parent for over 20 years. Most recently, he was a transport for High Point Treatment Center - a friend of Bill. He was a local coach for baseball and basketball and enjoyed working with kids. Besides helping kids, he loved fishing, baseball, the Celtics, the Patriots, his dogs, talking politics and above all - God. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by family and friends. To Marilee & Kathleen with whom I have had a wonderful relationship, & to all the Dailey family, I extend my deepest sympathy. Jim was a character-both a kind & a stubborn man! I am pretty sure there are no politics in heaven-only fishing & story telling & kids who need to be taught how to play baseball.

My condolences to the Dailey family, and the two generations of Dailey kids that I had the privilege to get to know and teach during my years at Manomet School. Kathy, Jimmy, Michelle, John, Lamont, Jordan, and Aidan, my thoughts are with you and your loved ones.
