Cameron Pardue Obituary

PARDUE KERNERSVILLE - Cameron Michael Pardue entered this world early to insurmountable odds. We watched our little Champ conquer several medical obstacles for 42 days until the Lord called him home, Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Brenner Children' s Hospital. He was born April 17, 2008, in Forsyth County. Surviving are his parents, Michael and Kimberly Pardue of Kernersville, his sister, Madilyn Pardue of the home; paternal grandparents Eugene and Gerri Pardue of Kernersville; maternal grandparents Inez Webb of East Bend and Bob and Jean Webb of Rural Hall; paternal great-grandmother Mary M. Pardue of Kernersville; maternal great-grandparents Charlie and Edna Murphy of East Bend; aunt and uncle Crystal and Todd Harris of Kernersville and uncle Robby Webb of East Bend; and cousins Trinity and Tyler Harris of Kernersville. The funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. S. Neill Shaw and the Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Forsyth Medical Center NICU and Brenner Children' s Hospital. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.

Mike and Kim, the past 6 weeks have been filled with highs and lows and even though Cameron's journey in life was only for a brief moment, his life is a testimony to God's grace, mercy, and most importantly, love. For it was love that was demonstrated through countless prayers lifted up to heaven by many people and it was through those prayers, we witnessed many miracles that our loving Lord performed during Cameron's journey. Even though the outcome was not what we hoped and prayed for, we will be forever changed by this experience. We want you both to know how much we love you and that we're grieving with you and your family in the loss of such a beautiful baby boy. Like yours, our hearts too are broken, but we are confident that through God's endless comfort and strength, in time, the wounds in all of our hearts will be mended.
God bless, your friends, The Gerrard Family
