Oh, ..Joey...Turtle...BRAVEHEART...You were such a warrior, right up until the very end and departed with a beautiful smile with God on one side and his army of angels on the other. I felt you beside me, watching me code you, watching me try to keep you here with me, but you wanted to go. I watched you suffer for 22 years without a complaint. You taught me so much, and strengthened me even more than words can say. I cared for hundreds of people, and in all of that, never met another soul with your great attitude and fight. Your faith was unmoveable like a tree by the water, rooted so deeply that it cannot be moved. I feel you, hear you, and even enjoy the jokes you still play on me, For I KNOW that life exists after death here. Just as All of your friends, i miss you too, even more. My Strength, My Life, My Beautiful Son. You wanted only the best for this whole world..Now you are doing it from a higher plain. I've been thinking all week of Joey and how much he meant to me. I know that he is in a much better place and now truly happy. It's hard to believe that a year has passed since his passing. He will forever be in my heart. God's blessings to those who continue to miss him as much as I do.

When we lose someone we love, The loss seems too great to bear, God sends us friends to comfort us, To show that He deeply cares. Joey was surrounded by many who loved him,,,although his life here on earth was cut short..May the fact that your son was truly loved and respected give you comfort...I pray the LORD gives you strength,peace and comfort to go on with your lives as Joey would have wanted...May your family be sprinkled with a rainbow of blessings....

The picture of the ocean was chosen because Joey/Turtle talked a lot about how he was going to see the ocean when he went on vacation, but he passed away before he got to.
It has been one year since his passing. The last time I talked to Turtle was on December 15, of last year, we had a long talk on voice, he was a great guy. Zippcodey

i got the courage after whole year of being in school to finally tell my bestfriend how i felt about him in since i feel i lost him since i told him i was in love with all i have done was cry . Ive been through so much but seeing all the things been through and guys i meet i realized overtime since january i wanted to be with him. I remember coming to about so much stuff and i wish i can just come to u and hear you do crumit the frog again. because it seems like when i was down ur were there . I feel so lost and at only 20 yrs old i have so many responsibilities that i dont know what to do . IN a since when i came to spend time with you ud always welcome me. Each day that goes by I think of you. You are an extremely important person in my life and I know that I am not the same person for knowing you. You made me smile and showed me how important it is to appreciate what we have, to appreciate our lives. I miss you a lot and even though it's been a few months, I think of you every day. I know you are happy and that gives me comfort. I miss you. I am thankful for the time we had together....it was special. You opened a part of my heart that had been closed for a very long time, thank you. You gave me back the ability to love. I will always remember you for that. Joey, our beloved turtle...just when we were learning, not to run like rabbits, our beloved turtle won the race.
GOD, you have a wonderful soul in your care....and we mortals are left with a smile, at the many things turtle taught us.
I remember the first chat i had with you....that lesson in life you drove deep into my spirit..the joy of just being in love with living and how to live that life to its fullest...

You impacted my life more than you know. Although we never had a chance to meet, I was fully inspired by the strengh you posessed. You have overcome so much in your life and truly used that as a witness to the world around you. The joy you brought into my best friends life is truly priceless. I knew Joey from New Mobility and I enjoyed getting to know him through a "secret pal" gift exchange a few years ago. We shared the love of turtles too, and he was truly one of the "nicest' guys and supportive too.

This is Teena...I met Joey and his Parents once when Joey was in the hospital. We had not been in touch recently, but we were always friends, and had the kind of friendship that no matter how much time passed before our paths crossed again, we just talked as if we were next door neighbors.
I'm so sorry to hear of Joey's passing. I know he is at peace now with Jesus and that is a very comforting thought.
Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I did not know he had passed away until I read it in CareCure today...

It is very hard and almost impossible to comprehend God's wisdom from allowing Joey to leave so suddenly. It is hard. And no words of mine can alter this reality. The reality of this earth is that it is a reality of loss, sadness and sorrow. What does one do when someone has had such a great loss? Words never seem to be enough. If you could feel my heart then you would know how deeply sad I am that turtle (Joey) is no longer with us. In Christian Chat you get to know a lot of people, but only a few, you get close to. Turtle was one of these and he is no longer with us. He loved poetry among other things, this one is in memory of him.

To say that Joey will be missed is an understatement. I am so grateful that I had the chance in my life to get to know and love such a special person. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. Joey had one of the best hearts and was such an encouragement to me in the last month or so. I know God put him in my life for a reason and for that I am so grateful. We had a special connection and I am so blessed to have been a part of his life. He always made me feel so special and knew how to make me laugh or smile all the time. My heart misses him but I know I will see him again one day. Joey...I miss you.
