I have always known Chris. He was always around when I was a kid and teenager because he was great friends with my cousin Ned Johnson. He would come over to our grandmother Revas home on Douglass street very often. All of my family liked him, and he was kind of like a cousin to myself in a way.... I was running into him often the past few years since I been living back in the area and would joke with him that he was following me! Seemed that he was at all the places I was very often. LOL. He always took the time to stop and ask how I was and my family. He would in ever conversation talk about his son Yancy. He was so proud to be that young mans father. I will always remember last deer season running into Chris and how he was so proud, and bragging that Yancy got his first buck. The smile on his face I will never forget..... Chris never went out of his way, at least not to me, and discuss the down falls of others, or passed judgement of anybody. He in my eyes was a good person, and a very proud daddy to that young boy. He will be missed by me, and I'm sure by plenty of others as well. Rest in peace Chris. I am glad you was there and seen your son get that first buck! I am sure that will be a cherished memory your son will carry for ever as well.
