Anthony J. Grignano

SEVEN VALLEYS Anthony J. Grignano, 87, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services South. He was the husband of the late Yvonne E. (Stoll) Grignano. Born in York, on June 12, 1926, Anthony was the son of the late Joseph A. and Dorothy (Lobianco) Grignano. He attended Stewartstown Baptist Church. He previously attended St. Rose of Lima Church in York for many years. He worked for Food Fair/Pantry Pride for 25 years and later worked for the West York School District. There will be a viewing from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc,. 2114 W. Market St., York. The funeral service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Lee Peoples officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Mr. Grignano is survived by three children, Carla M. Breen and husband, Mike of York, Joseph A. Grignano and wife, Diane of Seven Valleys, and Alayne M. Grignano of Dover; four grandchildren, Amanda Hendrickson and husband, Tony, Jonathan Breen and wife, Jessica, Anthony Grignano and wife, Bethany, and Breann Grignano; four great-grandchildren, Aviana and Solara Hendrickson, and Harmony and Keon Breen; sisters, Anna Marie Benitvegna, and Frances Trout and husband, George; and brother, Innocenzio Grignano and wife, Barbara. Sisters, Mary Sciortino and Marjorie Hock, preceded Anthony in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 44 Bowman Road, York, PA 17408; or Stewartstown Baptist Church, 18631 Five Forks Road, Stewartstown, PA 17363. The family would like to thank Dr. Julie Nickles and staff for the excellent care given to Anthony for many years, and Manor Care South and AseraCare Hospice for their loving care and support the past few months.
