Anna R. (Mummert) Eby, 94, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Providence Place, Dover. She was the wife of Daryl L. Eby who died February 1, 1987.
Mrs. Eby was born in York on Sunday, November 26, 1922, daughter of the late Alan Mummert and Mary (Householder) Harbold.
Anna was a 1940 graduate of York High and served her country honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Eby and his wife, Sharon of MD and Glen D. Eby and his wife, Jacquelyn of York; six grandchildren, Dustin Eby of MD, Jessica Hovis of Dover, Joshua Eby of York, Ryan Eby and his wife, Brittany of MD, Rebecca Woodruff and her husband, Matthew of Grantham and Kristen Miller and her husband, William of Beech Creek; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Grant and Herbert Harbold, both of York; three sisters, Dawn Danfelt of Renovah, Zee Jane Kehr of York and Joan Rauhauser of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Bufflap, Ruth Meckley and Hazel Wire.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at York Christian Fellowship Church, 110 Weldon Dr., York. There will be a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial was private in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
