To all of the Bauer Family;
I attended flight school In Mineral Wells, TX with Bill and later served with him in RVN at the 192nd AHC 1968-69. I always admired his professionalism and I know he is dearly missed by all who had the privledge of knowing Bill. He was a friend in flight school and a true warrior in combat. I still recall how much he loved that special Mustang. This is a such late entry. I just recently learned of his passsing and today I discovered this guestbook. God bless and keep all of you.

I've known Bill for over 6 years now-- working with him during a test exercises. To me (Christine), Uncle Bill was always kind, gentle, classy, wise, strong and sincerely interested in my life as well as others. He obviously loved his entire family very much. It was a personal & professional pleasure to have worked with Bill these past 12 years. His dedication to the mission & willingness to listen to and actively help others was greatly appreciated by all who work here, especially those of us in the OPFOR. Bill was one of my favorite collegues at JFCOM. He was always willing to share his knowledge and help everyone who needed assistance. He was always there with a friendly word and a willing smile to go along with his helping hand. We will all miss him terribly.

Jack and I wish to express our deepest sympathy to your family. Bill was not only a co-worker, he was also a friend. Our son's served in Iraq at the same time and Bill always took the time to come by and ask how Ryan was doing. I remember he use to always tell me to hang in there, that God was in control and that "our boys" would return home safely. Your husband and father was loved by all and will truly be missed. I believe Col. Bauer was my Battalion Commander at Ft. Rucker during 1984-1986 time frame. I didn't know he was in the area. He was an outstanding leader and everyone in the unit looked up to him. He was fair and always approachable. I wanted you to know he touched my life and will never forget him.
