I just learned of Carrianne's death. I am so sorry about the loss of such a great person. I knew Carrianne from CMU theater and remember her as a vibrant, kind person. I just pulled out the college pictures and found some great ones of her-smiling! You will be missed!

There’s A Reason
For every pain that we must bear,
For every burden, every care,
There’s a reason.
For every grief that bows the head,
For every teardrop that is shed,
There’s a reason.
For every hurt, for every plight,
for every lonely pain racked night,
There’s a reason.
But if we trust God as we should,
It will work out for our good,
He knows the reason.
...”We know that for those who love God, all things work together unto good”… (Romans VIII-28)

My very best wishes to the family in this time of grief.
I didn't know CarrieAnne extremely well, but I fondly remember her as a close acquaintance who lived in the same dorm building as I did in college, and who worked with me on some TV and theatre shows.
In fact, CarrieAnne was the first person I met when I came to CMU. I saw her walking down the hall in my dorm building, and I actually recognized her because she was in a student sketch-comedy show that aired on campus TV. My roommate co-produced the show, so it wasn't long before we were all working on the set together. I would see Carrie often, and she was always cheerful and happy to see you and ready to compliment you or lift your spirits. Even if her day wasn't going so great, she could still manage a smile or a laugh. I admired that about her. You never forget people like that. I know CarrieAnne will be remembered by many. I was very saddened to hear this news, but I'm certain she has helped many people's lives become a little brighter in ways that will never fade away.
Sincerely,
Dave Leinberger

I just found out the tragic news about the loss of Carrie Anne and her baby girl. I worked with Carrie Anne inside Dow in Midland and stayed friends with her since. Carrie Anne was a wonderful friend, wife and mother! The world truly is not as bright without her in it! I can remember when Carrie Anne told me she was pregnant with Alex and how all I could think about was what wonderful parents he would have. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dan, Alex and everyone who loved her!

My Prayers go out to Carrie Anne's family and friends, we will miss you very much. I haven't seen Carrie Anne in a few years but, I remember her smile, it was contagious and how loving and caring she was. At her wedding we found out we were distant cousins and that Dan's god father was also my uncle. It was great to know that I was related to such a wonderful person.
Carrie Anne, we all love and miss you dearly.

I am so saddened. What a tremendous loss for all of us! Carrie Anne had the most beautiful spirit - she always beamed with joy and a smiling face. I worked with her while she was at Yeo & Yeo's office in Ann Arbor. She was the ideal employee. However, she was more than that for everyone who worked with her or knew her. Her spirit was felt by all who met her, spoke with her on the phone or heard about her. I was honored when she recently visited our office in Saginaw to share her pregnancy. She is a gift from God. She left us with a legacy...and memories...and so much gratitude. We will miss you, my friend!

CarrieAnne was one of my dearest friends at CMU. Her smile lit up a room. Her commitment to her family and friends was heartfelt and genuine. I have many fond memories of singing and performing with her. She was that rare actress that blended artistry with a lot of fun. The world is poorer for her absence, but heaven is surely richer. Love to you always, CarrieAnne.
With deepest condolences,
Jan

I worked with Carrie and Dan when we were teenagers. Carrie and I also went to the same youth group, and we would drive home together afterward. When I think of Carrie the word vibrant comes to mind. She was just a wonderful person. My prayers are with your family during this horrible time. Carrie and Chelsea are both in my thoughts.

I am so saddened to hear about Carrie and her dear baby. Although we have been apart in distance for years, Carrie took the time to stay in contact, and seemed to always have a kind word and a happy thought to pass along. Dear Family of Carrie Anne, we first met Carrie Anne at our Church. She was my secret sister! She suprised me with a beautiful glass that had inscribed Psalm 23. I will cherish that. She is such a bright and cheerful person. She has the peace on God in her. May God Keep us all at this time.

To the friends and family of Carrie, I offer my heartfelt sympathy.
I was very saddened when I heard that Carrie and her precious baby are now in heaven together.
I did not know Carrie very well, she went to Western with my brother, Rob Domerese and that is how I knew her. I just remember how sweet she was. She always had a smile. The world lost a shining star the day that she passed away. I will always remember her. God be with you as you go through this most difficult time in your lives.

I just recently became a mother and immediately I was a new person. I saw the world in a different light and realized why I was here in the first place. I cannot imagine the pain that so many must be feeling after such a huge loss. To Carrie's family, I pray that you are able to remember the joy that she brought to your life. I hope you are able to find an inner strength to move from day to day. I will continue to pray for you and your ability to get through this horrible time.

I haven't talked with Carrie in years and was so sad to hear the news.
Carrie was such a sweet friend in high school, always ready to lend an ear and a hug. Aside from just being friends we were also competed as a duo in forensics. While I did a monologue she sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" in the background. I still hear her beautiful voice singing whenever my life gets tough.
My mom broke down in tears and sadness when I broke the news, she remembers what a good friend and influence Carrie was to me.
Our love and prayers to the entire family, friends, and others who are suffering because of this loss.

I've known Carrie Anne for a little less than a year. Several of us met through our little boys and would meet for playgroups on Thursdays. She was always so cheerful and happy - and one thing that made her beam more than anything was Alex. She loved that little guy more than anything! He was so blessed to have had such a warm, loving mother - and is equally as blessed to have such a large extended family to keep her memory alive for him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult and sad time.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Harrington and Schmidt families. Please know that my prayers are with you, that God may send strength, courage, and His love to you and Alex. I am also praying for strength and healing for Dan.
I am a co-worker of Dan's, and unfortunately never had the chance to meet Carrie Anne. From stories I've heard from Dan and memories posted on this website, I can see what a truly wonderful person Carrie Anne was. Her positive attitude and outlook on life was contagious. She touched many, many lives during her short time on earth. Please remember that she and Chelse are with the Lord and will be watching over you, and that you will join them again someday. Remember Carrie Anne's love of life and let yourself catch her positive outlook, it will make some of life's burdens a little lighter.

I only met CarriAnne a few times, but she made a lasting impression. I took over her position at Yeo & Yeo, P.C. She had been gone from the job for several months when she came in to have lunch with a colleague. We chatted for a few minutes about the job, then, when she left she gave me her email address and phone number and told me to call her any time if I had questions about the job. From that one conversation, I knew instantly that her generosity of spirit was only one of the ingrediants that made up this warm, friendly, loving girl that everyone just raved about. My heart aches for her family and friends at this difficult time.

My deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to the Harrington’s and all of their families. I had the pleasure of working with CarrieAnne at Yeo and Yeo. Though she worked in the Ann Arbor office, and I worked in Midland, we would call often consulting one another on projects. She was a friendly, thoughtful and genuinely warm and caring person. I will keep your family in my prayers. I pray for God to send His Holy Spirit to comfort all of you with your great loss. I also pray for safety and healing for Dan. Please pray that God would just hold this entire family and bring them together to draw strength, love, and comfort from one another and from Him. I also pray a circle of angels around Dan and Alex to protect their hearts.
