Carlethia Taylor Obituary


Carlethia L. Taylor NORFOLK - Carlethia L. "Carlotta" Taylor, 59, of the 1500 block of E. Berkley Ave., passed away Sept. 19, 2008. She was born July 12, 1949, to the late Vivian and Linwood Hurdle in Norfolk and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Carlethia was a former employee of the Naval Aviation Depot, Norfolk, and was most recently employed with Eggleston Services as a mess attendant for 10 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Andre M. Taylor; three sisters, LaVerne Hurdle, Delores Hurdle and Carolyn H. Carter (James); four brothers, Linwood Taylor (Demetrice), Leonard Hurdle, Walden Hurdle (Connie), and Carl Hurdle; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in New Hope UCC, 145 E. Liberty St. Dr. James Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 1220 Bunsen Court, Norfolk, one hour prior to the service for the procession to the church.
