Rose Norad Obituary
Rose Zedd Norad HAMPTON - Rose Zedd Norad, 88, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2008. Rose was a native of Norfolk, but a resident of the Peninsula since 1949. Rose was the owner of Little Folks School, where she retired after 35 years. She was a member of B'nai Israel Synagogue. She graduated from South Norfolk High School in 1937. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, David Norad. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda F. Harris and husband Danny of Newport News; one son, Richard C. Norad of Newport News; one brother; Stanley Zedd of Norfolk; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in B'nai Israel Synagogue, officiated by Rabbi Norman M. Golner. Burial will follow in Jewish Cemetery of the Virginia Peninsula. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to B'nai Israel Synagogue, 3116 Kecoughtan Road, Hampton, VA 23661. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
