Dale Forwood

Dale Edward Forwood CHESAPEAKE - Dale Edward Forwood, 58, of the 900 block of Mount Pleasant Road, passed away at home Oct. 24, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster, Pa., he was the son of J. Harold Forwood of Vancouver, Wash., and the late Anna Mae Flory Forwood. He was also predeceased by a sister, Jean. Dale had served in the U.S. Navy for eight years. He owned and operated Associated Machine Shop for many years and was the recent owner and operator of Dale Old Specialized Hauling. Survivors include his two daughters, Michelle L. Fink and Melanie Jo Nunemacher; three sisters, Becky, Lois and Miriam; and a granddaughter, Brittany L. Harshman. A memorial service with Masonic rites and military honors will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
