Kathleen Zaremski Obituary


Kathleen M. Zaremski CHESAPEAKE - Kathleen M. Zaremski, 74, passed away Nov. 11, 2008, in her Chesapeake home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 28, 1934, and was a daughter of the late William A. and Mae O'Malley Gimmler. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 54 years, Joseph E. Zaremski; one sister, Anne P. Monsees of Long Island, N.Y.; three children: Joseph W. Zaremski and wife Kathy of Norfolk, Robert E. Zaremski of Chesapeake and fiancée Linda Wenners and daughter, Kathlyn M. Gray and husband Curtis of Williamsburg; seven loving grandchildren, William S., Mathew S., Timothy J. and Patrick C. Zaremski, McKenzie L., Annie E., and Ellie M. Gray. A memorial Mass in celebration of Kathleen's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Joseph H. Metzger III. A Christian wake will be held Friday at 5:30 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, followed by a visitation until 7 p.m. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
