Oscar Eure Obituary


Oscar H. Eure Jr. SUFFOLK - Oscar Hillary Eure Jr., 59, of the 200 block of Grace St., passed away Nov. 15, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of Mildred E. Dewell and the late Oscar Hillary Eure Sr. He was retired from Holiday Food Stores Inc. He leaves behind his wife, Judith M. Eure; two daughters, Vickie E. Wilson and her husband W. Scott Wilson of Suffolk and Cindy E. Upright and her husband Brandon A. Upright; his mother, Mildred E. Dewell; three sisters, Anne E. Grissom and her husband George Grissom of Portsmouth, Connie E. Walker and Melvin Hartman of Portsmouth and Shirley Lewis of Blacksburg; one brother, Dan M. Eure and his wife Theresa Eure of Indiana; and one grandson, Nathan R. Wilson. A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Suffolk Christian Church, by the Rev. Michael D. Halley, with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W.
