William Klimczynski Obituary

William L. Klimczynski VIRGINIA BEACH - On Oct. 9, 2008, William Leo "Bill" Klimczynski at 78 years young went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the son of the late William J. and Frances E. Klimczynski of Springfield, Mass. He entered the Navy after graduating from Chicopee High School. After dedicating 20 years in the Navy, he retired as a chief yeoman in 1968. He was dedicated to the Fleet Reserve Association for 50 years. His belief of hard work and dedication continued with 26 years of service as a U.S. postal carrier in Virginia Beach. In addition he earned a B.A. at St. Leo College. Bill was the cherished husband of his loving wife, Patricia Anne, for 54 years. He was the beloved father of six children, Debra Klimczynski, Diane Spencer, Laura Wright, Tracie Klimczynski, Steven Klimczynski and William Klimczynski. He was the grandfather of two granddaughters, Chelsea Wright and Brianna Klimczynski. Bill was respected and admired by many of his co-workers not only as a fellow employee, but as a friend. His ability to make those around him laugh will truly be missed. He was a master of repairing almost anything, and had a passion for fishing and boating. Bill and Pat made their retirement to Florida in 2000. He truly loved traveling to see his children in Virginia. A memorial mass will be held Friday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. in Holy Spirit, 1396 Lynnhaven Pkwy. Suggested memorial gifts may be given to the American Heart Association.

The passing of this great man saddens me deeply. Even though his body is gone his soul has gone to on to sail in the heavenly seas of our Father. Bill was a one of the reasons why I joined the Navy. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Aunt Pat, Debbie, Diane, Laura, Tracie, Steven and William:

My deepest sympathies concerning the passing of your husband and father. When I first met Uncle Bill he scared the heck out of me....probably because he was so loud. But as I got to know him, he was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. I will always remember him and his organ playing and our mutual appreciation for Gloria Estefan & the Miami Sound Machine.

All of you are in our prayers.

Love Kevin, Kristin, Ryan, Lacy, McKenna and Keenan

Dear Klimczynski's--cousins, Aunt Pat,
So sorry for your loss. I know you will miss Uncle Bill terribly. I will never forget how much fun it was to have him come to my wedding in Iowa. Did you know he was going to wear a tux with shorts to the wedding? Life of the party!
I have this picture of him in my mind of him coming home after working in the post office. He picked up the dog and barked with her. I also remember the organ--
My prayers are with you all.
Much love,
Eileen Flood Yeisley

My Father, I have to convey your patience and persistence was unbelievable. You were a good man, patient, and loved Mom more than I have ever seen a man love his wife. We will miss your sense of humor, and love more than you will ever know.
You could write very well and see things from an outside point of few.
You shared some of your beliefs with me, and allowed me into your world. And for that I am eternally grateful, I loved being with you. I know you are watching over us, without a doubt. It was tuff to get to know you, however I can be pretty persistent, and I believe we came to have a great relationship.
You absolutely could fix anything.
You would give anyone the shirt off your back if need be. Not to mention a green thump, I cannot seem to grow any vegetables where Diane has taken off. What conversation did I miss? Perhaps you will let me know next spring.
Love,
Debbie

Bill would have loved hearing from each and every one of you. He was a great husband and friend to me and a loving father to his children. I miss him very much but I feel his presence. Thank you and God bless you all.
