Michael Adams Obituary
Michael David Adams NORFOLK - Michael David Adams, 41, of the 1200 block of Colley Ave., passed away Dec. 1, 2008, in his father's home. He was born April 30, 1967, in Newport, R.I. He is survived by his father, Albert M. Adams of Virginia Beach; his mother, Sheila Joyce of Crown City, Ohio; and his sister, Monica Laurendeau of Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, with Pastor Vince Antonucci officiating. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

I didn't discover Michael's passing until 2020, so it's been 12 years. We were about the same age and spent a few summers playing guitar and drums in his Dad's garage. I recall his masery of Russian at an early age, and he liked the band Rush (Great band). I met him through his amazing sister, Monica, who I met through his Mom at church years before. I don't know why he was taken early but I pray he and the family have found peace as I'm fond of them and honored to have been part of their lives, if only for a short while.
