Dale Toliver Obituary


Dale Royster Toliver NORFOLK - Dale Gerome Royster Toliver, 65, of the 5100 block of S. Cape Henry Ave., departed this life Dec. 5, 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was employed with the City of Norfolk for more than 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Way of the Cross E.L.I.M., where she was active in the Homeless Ministry and was a former choir member. She was predeceased by her husband, Vaney E. Toliver. Survivors include her daughter, Tiffany E. Toliver of Norfolk; son, Michael W. Royster (Freda) of Portsmouth; sister, Malinda O. Royster of Chesapeake; two brothers, Ernest L. Royster of New York and Curtis D. Royster (Faye) of Kentucky; a special niece, Jocelyn M. Royster of Richmond; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Way of the Cross E.L.I.M. Interment will follow in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. We invite you to send a condolence message in the family's guestbook at www.pretlowandsons.com.
