Mary Sturgis Obituary

Mary Ellen Sturgis VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary Ellen Sturgis, 62, of the 2700 block of Renaissance Way, passed away Feb. 5, 2009, in Sentara Bayside Hospital. A native of Plymouth, Mass., she was the daughter of the late William Hollis. She was employed with Geico Insurance. She is survived by her husband, Russell Sturgis; her daughter, Ellen L. Sturgis of Jacksonville, Fla.; her son, Mark C. Sturgis and wife Mikki of Moyock, N.C.; her mother, Eleanor Hollis; four sisters, Kathy Morini, Margie Vickery, Bonnie Hollis and Tricia Bresolin; a brother, Billy Hollis; and two grandchildren, Chloe and Seth Mack. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
