Shirley Smith Obituary

Shirley H. Smith VIRGINIA BEACH - Shirley H. Smith of the 500 block of Featherstone Court died Feb. 15, 2009, in her home. Born in Princess Anne County, now Virginia Beach, she was a member of New Light Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Vernon Smith; two sons, Marvin Boggs and James Boggs; two sisters, Cynthia Lawton and Evelyn Smith (Eugene); one brother, John Boggs (Marie), all of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one uncle; one brother-in-law, Charlie Smith; four stepdaughters; one stepson; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Boggs and father, Herman Boggs. A funeral will be held Friday in New Light Baptist Church with Bishop Rudolph Lewis presiding. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
