Robert Walton Obituary

Robert L. Walton CHESAPEAKE - Robert Leroy "Bob" Walton, 79, passed away Feb. 18, 2009, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born Sept. 17, 1929, in Wakeman, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ralph L. Walton and Marion Stage Walton. Bob retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years, where he was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam. He retired from Carter Machinery after 25 years. After retirement, he became active in the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 464, Chesapeake. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Willie Mae Walton; three sons, Robert L. "Bobby" Walton Jr., Richard Lawrence Walton and wife Patty and Randall L. Walton; two daughters, Rhonda Lee Ludwick and husband Ned and Robin Lynn Caldwell and husband Mark; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory. The Rev. Charles L. Moseley will officiate. Friends are also invited to send condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.

Bob was a good man to have around and his passing will leave our ranks smaller but our memories richer.
Toots and Kids! If there is any thing Nellie or I can do let us know. it is now 9 o'clock and as god's children kneel by there beds side we will rember you and the family in our prayers.
