Joe was a very friendly person and easy to get to know - He often spoke of his wife and the trip he was going to take to Ohio. He often spoke of his grandchildren and you could see how proud he was of all of his family - Joe and I talked frequently on the treadmill at the Portsmouth YMCA between 5:30-6:00am - Glad to have known him.

Connie,
I worked with Joe at the Fleet Industrial Supply Center, I have known him for years. Joe was a kind and gentle man who was loved by us all here at the Logstics Support Center where he retired from. He always talked about his love for his family, especially Connie. He talked fondly of them so much, we knew them before we met them. He will be sorely missed. God only takes the best.

Joe was a neighbor of ours over 38 years ago, when he lived with his parents in Norfolk. We knew him as "Sonny". Couldn't have met a nicer young man. Our condolences to his family!
