I, too am saddened by the loss of another friend and neighbor. I live in the High Sierra Mountains of Northern California and closest neighbors are one man, bears, deer, foxes, raccoons and tons of snow so we don't get out often. Fortunately my brother Bobby McKenzie sent me this notice so I could send my condolences. I, too, still miss my parents and friends. Fortunately Our Lord will be coming back soon and we can all be together. Give each other a hug for me. Shirley McKenzie Whalen, Blairsden, California

I grew up behind the Honeas in Norview, from 1975 until we moved in 1978. My family was good backdoor neighbors with the Honeas, always keeping in touch with them after we moved. I remember a tiny bear stuffed animal that Mr. and Mrs. Honea gave me, I still have him to this day. My sweetest memories of this wonderful couple has to do with the times we went to check on our rental property in Norview. The Honeas would let me stay with them, while my family did some work on their house. At the Honeas I would eat the best treats and always hear some great war stories. I still have a picture of me and my mom in front on their Christmas tree, around 1980. We lost touch when the Honeas once we sold the house but I have never forgotten their kindness. They were a wonderful loving couple who stood as an example to all of us that true love still exists. May their family find peace during this difficult time.
