Donald Wood

Donald R. Wood SUFFOLK - Donald Ray Wood, 79, died June 22, 2009, at his home. Born in Brighton, Tenn., he was the son of the late Sam and Opal S. Wood. He was a retired machinist mate with the U.S. Navy and the Fleet Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy D. Wood; daughter, Donna Wolfensberger of Hampton; son, Dennis Wood of Woodbine, Ga.; sister, Peggy Lancaster of Baltimore; brothers, Vance Wood, David Wood and James Wood, all of Gary, Ind. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. Dr. Donald R. Jones with burial in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
