Jerry Bailey Obituary

Jerry D. Bailey KILL DEVIL HILLS - Jerry D. Bailey, 70, passed away June 24, 2009. He was born in Perry, Iowa, Nov. 29, 1938, the son of Fred D. Bailey and Viola Bailey. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1956 and retired from the Ford Motor Company. Jerry's life was his children and grandchildren. Jerry was known for his positive outlook on life and his love for landscaping. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael L. Bailey; brother, Larry Bailey; and grandson, Jeffrey Treichel. He is survived by his first wife, the mother of his children, Sandra S. Brock; children Pam, Teenie, Kim; his grandchildren, Gloria, Kyle, Peter, Jerrod, Ashley, Jena and Stephen; and great-grandchildren, Caiden, Farrah, Makia, Shea; one sister, Judy Lawrence; two brothers, Donnie Bailey and Dickie Bailey; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 11, at noon at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
